Isometric, isomotion and Iso Gin & Tonic

Another example of Isometric exercise in a PUSH / PULL movement resulting in a positive/negative muscle contraction as shown below with the Steel-Bow: a dual exercise using the same muscle position.

Same position, Same Model, totally different muscle exercise complimenting a full-shoulder, upper body exercise.

Ideal Isometric exercise would involve holding the resistance in each of the 3 stages of muscle contraction: extended / partial / fully contracted… as shown below with the Steel-Bow for a PULLING Back/Shoulder exercise.

However, another option would be to move through the full joint rotation in one complete movement, allowing for total muscle contraction & extension in an Isokenetic-type movement.

This range of movement is called Iso-Motion

Iso-Motion with the Steel-Bow allows a greater range of joint rotation, due to its compact size. Because the resistance is flexible during movement, adjustments can be made during movement. Each Iso-Motion movement can be performed in either a PUSH/PULL mode allowing for total muscle development for each specific exercise.

To simplify this statement, hold a yardstick by each end and see how limited your range of motion is moving side to side and up and down.  Now, hold a 12 inch ruler the same way and see how vastly improved your range of motion is over the yardstick. The ruler can move in any position the yardstick can and much, much more, resulting in a greater muscle exercising movement. The same holds true with the shorter Steel-Bow.
